Q: What do we do if we want to proceed with a quote
A: You can instruct us simply by sending us an email including your telephone number or by telephoning our office. The relevant paperwork for you to complete will then be emailed to you or posted to you - whichever is more convenient.Q: Do we have to make an appointment to instruct you?
A: No - this can be done as mentioned above. If you prefer to instruct us in person, please call into the office.Q: Do we have to pay any fees up front?
A: We request an initial payment of £450 for a purchase to cover fees and any searches. The balance of our charges and other payments as quoted will be payable at the time of completion.Q: Do we need to visit your office at any time?
A: Everything can be done via telephone, email, fax or post if you do not wish to come into the office.Q: How long will the purchase take to go through to completion?
A: Most purchases generally take an average of 6-8 weeks from agreeing the purchase to completion. Each transaction is different however and some transactions do complete much quicker and others take longer. Usually this will depend upon how many people there are in the chain of transactions and how quickly those people and their lawyers and advisors deal with their paperwork. We deal with all matters as quickly as possible.Q: Once we have exchanged contracts, how long is it to completion of the sale?
A: A normal minimum time is 1 week. However, this can be longer if you or your buyer have removal arrangements etc.Q: Can exchange of contracts and completion be on the same day?
A: Sometimes this is possible if circumstances permit. Normally this is only possible where your buyer does not have a related sales and their conveyancers are prepared to carry out all the legal formalities prior to the exchange of contracts.Q: Do we need to have a survey carried out?
A: We recommend that you should hire a chartered surveyor to carry out a survey to make sure that there are no faults in the property.Q: How can we verify that the seller is including all the expected items and fittings?
A: We ensure that we receive a comprehensive list of items included and excluded. This is sent to you for checking as soon as it is received by us.p> -
